Jennifer Gilby, M.D.

Dr. Jennifer Gilby graduated from The University of Florida College of Medicine in 1996 with her Medical Doctor degree. She completed her residency at University of South Florida in 2000, where she served as Chief Resident from 1999-2000. She moved to St Petersburg, Florida in 2000 where she started her private practice. She is a founding partner of Women's Care Florida, Absolute Health and Wellness. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the Florida Medical Association, Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, American Medical Association, and has served on the Board of Govenors of Pinellas County Medical Association. Within the PCMA, she has served as: Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President Elect. She is currently the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Anthony's Hospital, and is Adjunct Faculty at Bayfront Medical Center's OB/GYN Residency program. She teaches robotic surgery and obstetrics to the residents. She was named Attending Physician of the Year 2009.

 

Dr. Gilby's goal is to make each patient feel that her needs have been met both physically and emotionally. She strives to achieve surgical excellence with the continued introduction of new and more minimally invasive techniques. She specializes in laparoscopic and robotic surgical approaches to hysterectomy, as well as vaginal hysterectomy, and vaginal prolapse repairs. She also performs "no incision tubal ligations". Her goal is to minimize post operative pain with minimally invasive surgery, decrease or eliminate hospital stays, and decrease time off from patients daily routine.

 

In her free time, Dr Gilby enjoys time with her two children and her husband. She enjoys tennis, running, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and snow skiing. Her hobbies are traveling and photography.
