Wendy Whitcomb, M.D.

Dr. Wendy Whitcomb is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

 

Born in Springfield, Vermont, Dr. Whitcomb has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology since 1998.  She received her baccalaureate degree in French from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1990, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  Her doctor of medicine was awarded to her in 1994 from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont.  She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Louis University in 1998, where she served as Academic Chief Resident.  Dr. Whitcomb was awarded the Hubert A. Ritter Award for outstanding skills in gynecologic surgery and the Backer Award for medical excellence in a graduating resident.  She then served as a Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Louis University prior to moving to Tampa. 

 

She has special interest in adolescent gynecology and perimenopausal women's health.
