Dr. Amy Solomon is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is especially interested in surgical procedures for endometrial ablations and laparoscopic hysterectomies with a goal to minimize recovery time for busy women.
Dr. Solomon is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Medical Association. She is also a member of the American Medical Woman’s Association, where she served as Student President of George Washington’s chapter from 1990 to 1991. Dr. Solomon recently served on the OB/GYN board at University Community Hospital for four years and served on the Perinatal Review Committee and Breastfeeding Committee at St. Joseph's Hospital. She has been named one of the "top doctors" in Tampa for three years in a row as published in the Metro Magazine. Dr. Solomon volunteers at the Judeo Christian Clinic and serves on their board.
Born and raised in Tampa, Dr. Solomon graduated from Plant High School and then went north for more schooling. Dr. Solomon has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in the Tampa Bay area since 1997. She received her baccalaureate degree from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania in 1989. In 1988, Dr. Solomon studied abroad at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. She received her doctor of medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 1993. Dr. Solomon’s residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in 1997.
Dr. Solomon is married with two children who attend Hillel School. She is presently writing a pregnancy manual for patients.
