Dr. Michael Morris is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds medical licenses in Florida, New Mexico and Michigan. He has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic gynecologic procedures.
Dr. Morris is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, Tampa Obstetric and Gynecology Society, and Hillsborough County Osteopathic Medical Society. He has served on Executive Committees at both St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and University Community Hospital. He was Vice Chief of the OB/GYN Department at University Community Hospital for four years and Chair of Quality Committee at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital.
Born in Fairfield, Iowa, Dr. Morris has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in the Tampa Bay area since 1989. Prior to moving to Tampa, Dr. Morris was in private practice in both Michigan and New Mexico.
Dr. Morris received his baccalaureate degree in chemistry and biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1973. Dr. Morris completed medical school at Des Moines University, Iowa, in 1977, and moved to Michigan for an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Providence Hospital, which he completed in 1982.
