Trent Williams, Ph.D., M.D.

Dr. Trent Williams is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of AAGL, the Association for Advanced Gynecologic Laparoscopy, the world’s largest professional association of gynecologists who specialize in the use of minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating disorders of the female reproductive system and pelvic floor.

 

Dr. Williams was raised in Miami, Florida, and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Ph.D. in reproductive physiology.  He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University, School of Medicine.  He was awarded a US Navy Scholarship and earned his medical degree at the University of Miami, School of Medicine. 

 

Dr. Williams completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Regional Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. During his residency he was awarded a Galloway Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Following his residency, he and his wife Pam served at the US Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy for 2 years. They have resided in Florida since leaving Italy in 1994.

 

He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, urinary incontinence, repair of vaginal prolapse, and vaginal rejuvenation surgery.
