John Marston, M.D.

Dr. John Marston is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, and the Florida Medical Association.  He is a member of the board of directors of Alpha House, a shelter for abused and abandoned pregnant women.  He is also the Chief of OB/GYN at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Marston was raised in Tampa. Dr. Marston did his undergraduate work at Harvard University, earning a baccalaureate of arts in history in 1981.  Following a year of teaching history and anatomy at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, he attended the University of Miami School of Medicine where he received his doctor of medicine in 1987.  Upon completion of his internship and residency in OB/GYN at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in 1991, he returned to Tampa to join Drs. Yelverton, Lerner, Fallieras, and Kilbride in private practice.
