Any mom can have a condition that would put her baby at risk for being born too soon or too small. This screening will help your Women’s Care Florida provider identify these risks and will help them plan your care. Services may include:

home or office visits parenting education father services breastfeeding support

emotional support nutritional guidance transportation info child care

childbirth education help to quit smoking community resources birth control info

Before your visit, your Women's Care Florida medical team asks that you:

1)		Watch the 5-minute Healthy Start Video.
2)		Complete the Prenatal Screening Form and bring it with you to your first visit, and
3)		Contact your county’s Community Liaison if you have any questions about the screening:

Healthy Start Services can be provided to you in the comfort of your home, at some obstetric offices or at any place that is good for you. You may qualify for services from Healthy Start or Healthy Families no matter what your income level is. Participation is voluntary and you can stop services whenever you want.
