Dr. Caryn Bray is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, and Hillsborough County Medical Society.
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Dr. Bray has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Tampa since 1992. She attended Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her baccalaureate degree in 1978. She received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut Medical School in Farmington, Connecticut in 1983. Dr. Bray completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1987 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Bray worked in Erie, Pennsylvania from 1988-1992 in a private practice of obstetricians and gynecologists. Since 1994, Dr. Bray has been appointed as Preceptor of OB/GYN Education - Family Practice Residency Internship Program at University Community Hospital, Fletcher campus. More recently, she has been a preceptor for third year medical students rotating through ther obstetrics and gynecology rotation affiliated with Suncoast Hospital.
Dr. Bray is married and has four sons ranging in age from 14 to 21. Over the past years, she has been a soccer coach, referee, and served on the New Tampa Soccer Association Board for approximately 8 years. She also volunteers in her sons' social activities and provides obstetrical and gynecological volunteer services at Judeo Christian Clinic.
Dr. Caryn Bray was named one of the top OB/GYNs in the 2013 Bay Area Best Doctors Listing by Tampa Bay Metro Magazine.
