Kimberly Biss, M.D.

Kimberly O. Biss, MD is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She also maintains her status as Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She has been in private practice in the St. Petersburg area since 1998 after graduating from residency at Bayfront Medical Center – now Bayfront Health.

Dr. Biss is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the Pinellas County Medical Society.  She has been Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bayfront Health.  She currently sits on Medical Council and the Board of Trustees at Bayfront Health.

Dr. Biss was chosen to head the third phase of the Second Century Campaign for Bayfront Medical Center helping to fund the Bayfront BabyPlace unit in All Children’s Hospital which opened in 2009.

Dr. Biss relocated to the Sunshine State from the Northeast.  She was born in Massachusetts and grew up in New Jersey.  She returned to Massachusetts to pursue her higher education earning a B.A. degree in Biology from Mount Holyoke College and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine.  After graduating from medical school, she did an internship in General Surgery at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.  She then completed her training in OB/GYN her in St. Petersburg.

Dr. Biss married her husband prior to graduation from medical school.  Jerry is a graduate from Rutgers University and has his degree in Geological Sciences.  Their children, Zachary and KaLeigh were both born at Bayfront Health.  Dr. Biss’ interests outside of medicine include running, travelling with her family, music, art, and ice hockey – Go Bolts!
