Dr. Donna Hargrove is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an active member of The American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and The Florida Ob & Gyn Society.
Dr. Hargrove was born in Augusta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1980. After changing from a career in horticulture, she received her medical degree from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2001. During her residency she received awards in research and pathology and was honored as outstanding resident of the year in her junior year and served as Administrative Chief Resident Physician her senior year. Dr. Hargrove provides bio-identical hormone replacement and is certified in hormone pellet therapy.
Dr. Hargrove has a full time private practice with Women's Care Florida, Bay Gynecology in St. Petersburg, Florida where she has a focus on wellness and nutrition. Dr. Hargrove is the Nutrition Editor for a culinary, nutrition and whole foods-based food website, NutritionHealthNet.com
, which she maintains with her husband and Culinary Editor, Bren Ankrum. The nutrition website is used as an educational tool for her patients and the general public.
