Dr. Kay Shawchuck is a specialist in breast surgery, breast disease, breast cancer and oncoplastic surgery.
Dr. Shawchuck is board certified by the American Board of Surgery
and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of national and international surgical societies, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She has given lectures on the surgical treatment of breast cancer at national and international meetings.
Dr. Shawchuck is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and received her general surgery training at the University of Texas in Galveston, Texas. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch where she served as Chief Resident in general surgery. She is a Community Cancer Liaison physician with the American College of Surgeons and the American Cancer Society.
